Sarah Benning is an embroidery artist, she also studied fine art. Banning has a unique way of illustrating through her embroidery, she uses very neutral colours and creates detail with the contrast of colours she uses. Her work mainly focuses on the natural environment such as green plants, and occasionally she will do portrait work. I think that her work and techniques could be used to create small gift shop items to include in my magazine, such as keyring's or purses.
